David writes... Ended up staying an extra day in Boise to rest up and begin catching up on work email and voicemail. Left Boise this morning. Made a quick stop at Alturas, California, then on to Redding. Jim was waiting. I had a lot of his gear still on board. We sat and talked about how great the trip was while I ate some lunch. We also spoke about the Reno Air Races coming up in a few weeks...!!! Flew Redding to Bakersfield. Sure is hot in these parts! About 100 degrees on the ground at 8 p.m. A quick fuel stop and verification that the thunderstorms earlier in the day had passed, and I left for the final, short 1 hour and 20 minute flight back Brackett Field. It was around 10 pm when I landed, and it was actually dark! First time I've seen darkness at 10 pm in about three weeks! L.A. is a beautiful city to fly in at night. I spoke with Earl last night. He was making headway and planned to clear customs back at Cut Bank this evening. What a great trip.
One final pic for the grandparents...Noam loves grandpa's glasses...
