We asked Jim to give us a little history of himself and his flying
career. Here's what he had to say...
"As for flying, it was a burning desire as long as I can remember. My brothers both wanted to be pilots and one was killed building an airport at the beginning of WW II and the other flew P-38's and P-51's a during that conflict. I came along later and after going through the USAF program came out a fighter pilot just after the Korean conflict ended. I flew for 7 years with the Nev ANG in F-86 E's and F's and L's. We later transitioned into the B-57 Canberra and became a photo recon unit. After that, I flew various civilian planes for pleasure and family trips. The Citabria, 182, 206, and owned a Navion for several years taking it all over the central US. In recent years, it has been occasional trips in mostly 182's with friends on pleasure trips."
