Cut Bank is a small Montana town set in cattle and farm country about 30 miles south of the Canadian border.  It is just out of the Rockies and at the edge of the great plains.  Beautiful wide open spaces.  Cut Bank is often a jumping off point for pilots going to Canada.

(Also see the June 29 pilot report)

Cut Bank, located on the western edge of the great plains, is in the distance.  Crop rotation is practiced in this part of the country...it produces the stripped fields you see in the middle of the picture.
